Kota Mae McManus, 83, formerly of Great Falls, passed away on Friday, April 21, 2017 in St. Louis, Missouri. Visitation will be 3:00 to 5:00 pm Sunday April 30, 2017 at O’Connor Funeral Home. A memorial service will be at 10:00 am on Monday, May 1, 2017 at First United Methodist Church followed by burial at Highland Cemetery. Arrangements are in the care of O’Connor Funeral Home. Kota was born in Ray, North Dakota on March 21, 1934. She was raised in Kalispell, MT, graduating from Flathead High School. After high school she came to Great Falls to attend the Columbus School of Nursing. She was a registered nurse at Columbus Hospital for 30 years. While in Great Falls, she met William H. McManus. They married in 1957 and made Great Falls their home to raise two children. William passed away in 1998 and Kota remained in Great Falls until 2015. At that time she moved to St. Louis to be closer to family. Kota was a long-time member of First United Methodist Church. She especially enjoyed traveling with her husband, William, and spending time with her family. Kota is survived by her children Susan (David) Brown and William (Jacqueline) McManus; sisters Rachel (John) Kump and Darlene Donath; grandchildren Kristy (Joseph) Stack, Laurie and David Brown, and Kaitlin, William, John, Robert, and Sarah McManus; great grandchildren Madilyn, Grace, and Anna Stack; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, William H. McManus.
