Laura Maxine Mays

Laura Maxine Mays, 77, of Great Falls, passed away on Sunday, January 21, 2018 at her home. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Interment will be at the Cascade Cemetery. Laura was born June 30, 1940 in Knox City, Texas to Elton and Sadie Smith. Laura earned an Associates of Business at Northern Montana College in 1994. She worked for 17 years at Stumps Ice Cream Factory and was a Medical Assistant for three years. Laura was a Doe at Elks Lodge 214 and volunteered for Meals on Wheels. She was also a champion bowler! Laura enjoyed entertaining friends and family. She prided herself in being a homemaker and doting matriarch of her grandchildren and great grandchild, Payten. Laura is survived by her loving husband, Chester Brown; sons Blake (Kelly) Warner, Mark Warner, David (Laurie) Warner, and Art (Anna) Krueger; sister Julie (Ed) Krohn; seven grandchildren Crystal Warner, Cassie Krueger, Sean (Taylor) Warner, Tessa Krueger, Erik Warner, Nikki Krueger, and Allie Krueger; great grandchild Payten Warner; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Mary. Memorials in Laura’s name may be given to Peace Hospice, PO Box 7008, Great Falls, MT 59406-7008.
