Lawrence Larry M. Bahmiller, 64, of Great Falls, a United States Navy and Vietnam veteran, died from respiratory failure December 7, 2012 at a local hospital. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Thursday, December 13, 2012 at OConnor Memorial Chapel. O’Connor Funeral Home is handling arrangements. Larry was born January 6, 1948, to Lawrence and Betty Bahmiller in Bismarck, N.D. After attending two years of college Larry enlisted in the U.S. Navy. While in the Navy he worked on the USS Oriskany as an Aviation Electrician and married his wife of 44 years, Cathy (Fletcher) Bahmiller. Upon returning home in 1972, Larry and Cathy made their home in Great Falls with their four children. Throughout his life Larry enjoyed fishing, NASCAR, and spending time with his family. Family and friends were his true passion and love. He was also an avid Steelers and Montana State Bobcats fan. For the last 30 plus years he was a devoted employee of Devine Brothers/Eagle Beverage. Larry fought a five year long and courageous battle with lung and brain cancer; he was our hero. Larry is survived by his wife, Cathy Bahmiller of Great Falls; mother Betty Bahmiller of Bismarck, ND; daughters Christi Kloppel and Shannon Bahmiller both of Great Falls; sons Todd (Tara) Bahmiller of Great Falls and Jim (Susan) Bahmiller of Ellensburg, WA; sisters Mary (Jeff) Richholt and Nancy (Pat) Senger both of Bismarck, ND; brother Mark (Tracy) Bahmiller of Bismarck, ND; nine grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Lawrence “Shorty” Bahmiller, and brother Gary Bahmiller.
