LeRoy “Butch” Juneau, 75, of Great Falls passed away on Saturday, October 25, 2015 at Peace Hospice after battling lung and brain cancer. At Butch’s request, no services will be held. Cremation has taken place under the direction of O’Connor Funeral Home. Butch was born in Great Falls on July 13, 1940 to Josephine “Josie” Balkoski Juneau and Leroy Juneau Sr. Josie and Leroy divorced when Butch was very young. Josie married Buck Gardner and they raised Butch and his sister Fran together. Butch was in the Navy, stationed in San Diego. He spent most of his life in Great Falls. Butch loved to go camping, hunt, fish, cut wood and casino gambling. His favorite spot was Lincoln. He would spend as much time there as he could. Butch had a soft spot for animals, especially his companion Buddy. His sense of humor and making people laugh came naturally to him. His spontaneous one liners were hilarious. He had his own dictionary of words. Butch lived and loved life and then he died. He would say it was a hell of a ride. Butch is survived by his wife, Sandee; brother Bruce Juneau; sister Fran (Demorise) Allen; children Chrys (David Anderson) Juneau, Roche (Teri) Juneau, Jonna (Chris) Guard, Darcy Juneau (Jeff Winkle) Scott; stepchildren Scott Coster, Shilo Gulick, Kyle Kolashinksi; grandchildren Sara Juneau, Chase (Kaity) Juneau, Cortney Thomas, Conner Juneau-Wild, Austin Juneau-Wild, Geoffrey Gulick, and Riley Gulick; great-grandson Elijah Juneau; niece Katie Allen; and great-niece Madison Allen. He was preceded in death by his parents, numerous aunts, uncles, and a nephew, Chet. The family would like to thank all of the people who stopped in and visited.
