Leslie Butch Gayton Jr.

Leslie B. Gayton Jr., 72, passed away from natural causes on Monday, January 15, 2018. He joins his wife Sylvia R. Chippewa-Gayton and son Brandon C. Gayton in Heaven, which was his longtime desire to be reunited with them. A private burial will take place at Mount Olivet Cemetery. Leslie was born April 27, 1945 in North Dakota. He worked as a custodian at Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church and school for many years. He loved being with his grandchildren, riding his bike, and cooking fry bread. Leslie overcame many obstacles in life and he will be missed dearly. Leslie had a project specialist Master’s Degree in tribal administration. Leslie is survived by his daughter Leslie Lorraine Gayton-Brown; grandsons Riley Gayton-Martell and Brandon Brown; granddaughters Carla Allery and Marlaina Allery; sons-in-law Robert Allery and Bill Brown; sisters Kukie Gayton of Yuma, AZ, Delsie Gayton of Los Angeles, CA, Lonie Gayton of Fort Yates, ND, Lida Gayton of Parshall, ND, and Kay Gayton of Fort Yates, ND; adopted step-daughter Sara; numerous relatives from his wife, Sylvia R.
