Lillian C. Larson, 87, of Great Falls, and Granny to all, has left her worn body behind and went to a bigger garden, with her fly swatter. A private memorial service will be planned by the family at a later date. Mom (Granny) was born in Whiteville, NC. She married Edgar Clark (deceased). She married again in 1967 to Clifford Larson (deceased). Mom had 14 children. Granny was a loving homemaker and she enjoyed every minute with her family, and we had to do as she said. A good thing. She loved gardening. She loved the birds and critters that roamed her yard. She would use her swatter to keep them out of her garden. Granny’s Home is remembered by all the kids as a pretty and cozy place to gather and play.Granny’s home was a kind of treasure chest of adventure for all; and also a great place for beans and biscuits. Granny loved each and every one of her 14 kids, 35 grandkids, 59 great-grandkids, and six great-great-grandkids.She also hugged and made each visitor feel special. Mom always looked on the sunny side of life.If the world threw hard times her way, she went to the garden. The worst she could say was “O-Gosh”. Mom is survived by daughters Jan Davis, Darlene Clark, and Joan (Manuel) Hinojosa; sons Ed (Diane), Phil (Ginger), Tom (Clara), Rick (Debbie), Joe, Paul (Paula), Mike, Don, and Jim (Cindy) -the Clarks; plus Biff (Amy) Larson; and sister Mildred (Ernest) Devoe. Mom lost one son, Ken in 1970; her parents Lonzo and Letha Collins, of NC; sisters Mary and Grace; brothers Hubert, Loyd, Holland, Vernon, and Fletcher. A heart felt thank you to all that expressed love and care to her and the family. Sincere gratitude to Benifis Peace Hospice staff; they are wonderful. Granny leaves behind 113 pieces of her heart. THE END (Sorta) I come to the Garden Alone While the Dew is still on the Roses And the voice I hear, falling on my ear The son of God discloses, And He walks with me, and He talks with me And He tells me I am His own. And the joy we share as we tarry there, None other has ever known. By C. Austin Miles
