Lorraine Agnes (LaMere) Snider, 76, left us to fulfill her duties in heaven on April 10, 2016, at Peace Hospice after a long battle with cancer. Rosary services will take place on Thursday, April 14, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. at O’Connor Memorial Chapel. A celebration of remembrance will be held on Friday, April 15, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at The Banquet Hall located in The Do Bar 1800 3rd St NW per her wishes. Lorraine was born on February 13, 1940, in Havre, Montana. Her parents were Edward Michael Lamere and Mary Cecelia Johnson. She attended school in Havre and Helena. She married Pat Williams and they divorced. She married and remarried John L Snider and cared for him until he passed away. Lorraine was well known for her talent to cook anything and everything from scratch. She worked at several restaurants including her own Lorraine’s Café, Nevada Sam’s, Hungry Joses, The Amigo Lounge and Halftime Sports Bar. She was asked by Albertsons, Prospector, and several other restaurants to sell her recipes. She would say “I don’t have a recipe, I just make them.” She was a special lady to many. She would never have a negative word to say about anyone. She enjoyed making big meals and would invite everyone over to enjoy them. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, crafting, doing puzzles with her sister, playing a few twenties, picking weeds and picking up after the dogs. Lorraine is survived by her grandson Colton Kirby; daughters Stacy R Snider and Judy Williams; sons Russ and Tony Williams of Great Falls; stepchildren Brenda (Ron) Snider McLaughlin, Judy Tauer, and John Snider Jr., sisters and BFF Yvonne Lawrence, Ella Hall, and Judy Bailey; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a mother to many, especially Jill Thares Koetje. Everyone called her mom. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Snider; daughter Renee M. Kirby; grandson Shaun Campbell; parents Mary and Edward; brothers Edward, Alvin, Joe, and LeRoy Lamere; sisters Margaret and Benida Ellery.
