It is with great sadness that the family of Lucas Salois announce his passing on August 17, 2021, due to a vehicle accident. Family mattered most to Lucas. He particularly loved spending time with his son, Owen, who was his pride and joy, as well as his fiancée Marquee Pogany, whom he loved deeply. While Lucas sometimes aggravated his family with his headstrong personality, his stubbornness also made him fiercely loyal. For example, when his grandparents needed help around their home, Lucas willingly did jobs like replacing fascia and going inside the crawl space to fix plumbing. Lucas loved unconditionally and demonstrated that love through his actions. While family came first, Lucas was also devoted to his friends and could often be found helping them by working on their vehicles. Even in death, Lucas continues to help others by donating his corneas. After earning his GED, Lucas worked several jobs before becoming a general laborer at Boland Construction and Drilling, a position he valued. Lucas had a passion for the outdoor, whether it was camping, hunting, or riding motorcycle. In addition, he could be found playing video games, showing off a new tattoo, or engaging in other recreational activities. Extremely social, Lucas had a great sense of adventure and loved spending time with friends and family, especially Owen and Marquee. Lucas will be dearly missed. He is survived by his son Owen, age 2, and his fiancée, Marquee Pogany; parents, Melody (Tyler) Christensen and Paul (Crystal) Salois; brothers, Trent Salois and Dylan Salois; grandparents, Roger and Linda Salois, Donna(Terry) Morvay, Roy Curtiss, William McCoy, Lynn and Butch Christensen, and Rose and Jim Stone; great-grandparents; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; as well as close friends. A celebration of life will be held on Monday, August 23, 2021, at 4:20 p.m. at the Black Eagle Community Center. Prior to that, a private Memorial Service for close friends and family will be held at 2:00 p.m. at O’Connor Funeral Home with Chaplain Brennan officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations for Lucas's son, Owen Salois, can be mailed to 3125 9th Avenue North, Great Falls, MT, 59401.
