Lynn Jeanine Corey, 59, passed away Friday, July 7, 2017 at home of ovarian cancer. As per her request, no services are planned. Lynn was born July 4, 1958 and raised in Neillsville, WI, where she graduated from high school in 1976. She moved to Tucson, AZ in 1977. In 1981 she graduated from Pima Community College with an Associate’s Degree in Nursing and began her career as an RN. Lynn continued nursing in various departments finding her love of nursing in endoscopy, where she spent most of her career. She married Michael Fischella in 1984 with the hopes of starting a family. However, in 1989, Lynn was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. In 1990, they adopted their first son, Philip, and their second son, Ryan in 1991. Lynn was divorced in 2005 and stayed in Tucson until 2014. It was at this time she moved to Great Falls. Over 28 years, her cancer had come back six times, each time more severe than the last. Lynn remained positive and lighthearted about her condition through to the very end. She cared about everyone before herself; such is the life of a nurse. She found joy in cooking, gardening, and pickle ball. Lynn is survived by her sons, Philip and Ryan; her father, Gary (Lois) Corey; and her brother Howard (Jolee) Corey. She is preceded in death by her mother, Carole and her brother, David. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22478 Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
