Margaret Jane (McManus) Cox, 86, of Great Falls, MT, died Friday, August 18, 2017 at Peace Hospice. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, August 25, 2017 at O’Connor Memorial Chapel. Interment will be at Sun River Cemetery. Arrangements are in the care of O’Connor Funeral Home. Margaret was born at Columbus Hospital in Great Falls on June 4, 1931 to James and Lillian (Pluris) McManus. She was the second oldest child of nine, who endured the harsh realities of poverty during the Great Depression and WWII. In 1947, she married a 21 year old farm hand, Tyndall Cox, in Logan, Iowa. She was widowed in 2004. During a life of many struggles, she was a farm wife, mother, waitress, and home caregiver. Above all, upon her conversion, she was a witness to her Beloved Savior and Lord Jesus Christ, which she proclaimed unabashedly. She delighted in serving as an aid in Native American evangelism with Mrs. Morton and Millie Missy on Hill 57 and on various reservations. She was preceded in death by three brothers; both parents; her husband; a daughter Connie Kingsford; and three grandchildren. Margaret is survived by her son Kendall Cox; daughters Hollie Miracle, Rebecca Hammond, and Rachel Wade; ten grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and in-laws. However, the greatest thing to survive her is her testimony of a life redeemed from the bondage of sin by the infinite grace of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Her earthly struggles have forever ceased. She has found Eternal Peace in Him, whom she loved; and awaits, with all the saints, the Resurrection to Eternal Life.
