Marie Doerksen Evans

Marie Doerksen Evans, 92, of Great Falls, was called to Heaven on Friday, December 15, 2017. Marie was born November 29, 1925 in the Section House in Chinook, MT to Gerhard and Anna Friesen. She grew up with thirteen older brothers and sisters. One brother passed away at six months. Marie was married to Lewis Evans for 23 years. Known to all as “Cookie,” she spent her life cooking in restaurants, hunting camps in the Bob Marshall and Alaska, as well as the Stein Erickson Lodge in Park City, Utah. Marie is survived by son Joe (Miki); daughters Janice, Linda, and estranged daughter JoAnn; seven grandchildren; and ten known great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother, father, and 14 siblings.
