Mary Ann Beck, 65, of Great Falls died Monday, September 1st at Hospice House following a two-year battle with breast cancer. She was in the company of family at the time of death. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, September 4th from 5 to 7 pm at OConnor Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Friday September 5th at 2 pm at OConnor Memorial Chapel with burial to follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery. Mary Ann Dalke was born May 23, 1949 to John and Anna Dalke in Great Falls, the youngest of eight children. She attended Great Falls High School and graduated from Eastern Montana University in Billings. She went on to teach for 33 years, 32 of them at GFH. Mary Ann married Kenneth Beck on June 5, 1971. Ken and Mary Ann made their home in the Riverview area of Great Falls where they raised two daughters. Mary Ann was an active member of 4-H, DECA, Delta Kappa Gamma, and the local golf and bowling leagues. She most enjoyed time with her family, be it at home or shopping with daughters and grandchildren, sibling get-togethers at the Park Plaza or elsewhere and anything that involved sharing memories from childhood and laughter with those she loved. Mary Ann loved life, and to watch things grow, especially her 5 grandchildren. She always erred on the side of compassionate understanding when interacting with students, fellow staff, friends and family alike. Her imprint on the world knows no bounds. Mary Ann is survived by her husband, Kenneth; brother Raymond (Joan) Dalke; sisters Bertha Jeffries, Lorraine Peressini, Dolores (Robert) Standley, Shirley (Gordon) Grossman, Alice (Charles) Martin; sister-in-law Dolores Dalke and daughters Tina Grover, Jennifer (Ryan) Beam; and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother, Rueben Dalke and son-in-law Chad Grover.
