May Frates

May Frates, 72, of Cascade, died November 4 of complications from pneumonia. Born in Michigan on December 1, 194., she traveled to California with her father and stepmother. This is where she met her husband of 54 years, Roy Frates. They dated only 12 days then were wed. (When?) May is preceded in death by her mother, Neva Jane; father, Cieal Snell and her grandmother, Mable Rowe. She is survived by her husband, Roy; sister, Sonja Bibb (Frank); her four children, Barbara Brooks (Ken); Dorothy Martin; Scott Frates (Ruby) and Dawn Lais (Louis); two adopted sons, Ron Meick and Dennis Wallace. She had nine grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be held at a later date.
