Michael "Mike" Murray

Michael “Mike” Murray, 83, of Great Falls, passed away on January 9, 2021, with his family at his side at Peace Hospice. Mike was born the youngest of four boys to John and Kathleen Murray on March 19, 1937, in Great Falls.He attended local schools and after a short stint in the Montana Air National Guard, he purchased a delivery service with the slogan “We deliver anything except babies.” After an early retirement and the death of his first wife, he became a greeter at Wal Mart’s Garden Center for ten years, a job he thoroughly enjoyed. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers; a sister-in-law; and two nieces; his first wife, Jean Bashor Murray and her daughter Pam. Mike is survived by his wife, Michelle; her five children, Jessie, Jayme, Jill, Jodi, and Jerad; nine great-grandchildren, his first wife’s children, Mike, Dawn; their children and grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mike had said “Even though he didn’t have any children of his own, he was blessed to have two wonderful families!” A graveside service will be held 2:00 pm Wednesday, January 20, 2021, at Mount Olivet Cemetery.Social distancing and mask use would be appreciated.
