Norbert Korst, 86, a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and longtime employee of the former Anaconda Co. has passed away of natural causes. After living a long full life, he is survived by all his loving children, step children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Rest in peace Dad, we love you. Services will be held Friday, December 9, 2016 at OConnor Memorial Chapel at 1:00pm. Burial with military honors will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Norbert was born on April 29, 1931, in Bismarck, North Dakota to Joseph and Agnes Korst. He served in the United States Navy and Air Force National Guard. He retired from the Anaconda Company as a Supervisor. He was heavily involved in the Multiple Sclerosis Society and he was well recognized for his volunteer work. Norbert was a devoted husband who loved traveling, fishing, hunting, camping, working in his rose garden, going out to have Starbuck coffee and enjoyed playing bingo. He was kind, gentle, thoughtful, softhearted, social, loving father, grandfather and a great grandfather. He will be extremely be missed by all. Norbert is survived by his 6 children; sons William Korst, Daniel (Thelma) Korst, Dean (Melanie) Korst; daughters Rose (Mike) Brady, Sue (Randy) Stewart; Son Rodney (Lynn Price) Korst; Sister Sally (Louis) Manguso; brother Calvin Korst; 9 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers Sylvester, Leroy, Everett, and Bernard “Buck.”
