Norma N Keels

Norma N (Sawyer) Keels, 81, passed away on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at a local hospital of natural causes. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 20, 2015 from 5p.m. to 8 p.m. at O’Connor Funeral Home. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at O’Connor Memorial Chapel, 2425 8th Avenue N. O’Connor Funeral Home is handling arrangements. Norma was born on September 28, 1934 in Columbus, Ohio to Clifford and Vera Sawyer. She met the love of her life; Levi Keels and the two were united in marriage on March 2, 1962 and thus began their 53 year journey together. On July 27, 1967 their only son, Lloyd R. Keels was born in Aurora, CO. Two years later the family was stationed at their forever home; the Malstrom Air Force Base in Great Falls. Norma was employed at the Columbus Hospital (now Benefis West) from 1970 to 1994. It was her calling to care for others; from everyday strangers to her four grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. Norma enjoyed her job at Sam’s Club from 2009 to 2015. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and playing bingo. She also loved to go thrift store shopping. She will be dearly missed by all those who had the opportunity to be a part of her life.
