Orville "Doc" Olson

Orville “Doc” Olson, 88, passed away Monday, June 8, 2015 at Peace Hospice. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, June 13, 2015 at O’Connor Memorial Chapel. Arrangements are in the care of O’Connor Funeral Home. Orville was born October 21, 1926 in Westby, MT to Ernest and Gertie Olson. He attended schools in Westby then enlisted in the US Army. After four years of service he was discharged in 1948 as a Sergeant. Orville married Opal Graham in 1955 and to this union two children were born, Orrin and Odetta. They later divorced and Orville married Laura Bliss in Great Falls in 1969. He made his living as a truck driver in Plentywood, Glasgow and Great Falls. His last employer was Mahaffey Trucking. Orville is survived by son Orrin (Barb) Olson; daughter Odetta (Leon) Arcand; brother LeRoy Olson of Rosemount MN; five grandchildren—Nancy, Amy, Patricia, Kim, and Sabrina; four great-grandchildren—Kayla, Paige, Jackson, and Dylan. He was preceded in death by his wife, Laura; parents Ernest and Gertie; brothers Ralph and Erwin; sister Luella; infant granddaughter Orrein Rose; infant grandson Robert Paul.
