Patrick Eugene Pierson, 77, of Belt, passed away on Sunday, September 3, 2017. A memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at Hillcrest Lawn Memorial Chapel. Arrangements are in the care of O’Connor Funeral Home. Patrick was born in Glasgow, MT on April 24, 1940 to Charley and Clara Pierson. He graduated from high school in Billings and attended college in Missoula for a short time. On December 17, 1966, Patrick married Iola, the only lady he knew that worked as hard as he did. In his earlier years, Patrick accomplished a fulfilling 22 years as an ironworker. In 1981 Patrick and Iola bought and operated Strobel’s Rentals. They also owned and operated Havre Rental for several years. He even operated a farm near Shelby, MT for several years. Patrick loved his work and always put his all into everything he did. He also enjoyed traveling in his motor home, fishing, and hunting. Patrick is survived by his wife Iola Pierson; daughter Diane (Dave) Dovalos of Talent, OR; sons Doug (Mary) Pierson of Ulm, MT and Kevin Pierson of Great Falls, MT; sister Edie Evans of Spokane, WA; brother Mike Pierson of Brusett, MT; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
