Paul J. H. Jessen

Paul Julius Henry Jessen, 78, of Great Falls, passed away February 5, 2018. A Rosary will be held at 6:30 PM, followed by a Vigil at 7:00 PM on Friday, February 9, 2018, at the O’Connor Funeral Home, 2425 8th Ave N. A funeral will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at the Ursuline Centre, 2300 Central Ave. Paul was born June 26, 1939 in Wendall, Idaho.He served in the United States Air Force from 1958-1962.After the Air Force, he moved to Oregon where he apprenticed in the trades first as a plumber and later as a pipefitter.He married Marilyn Tice on February 10, 1968. Paul enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, playing cards and reading.He loved spending time with his family and was very proud of them. He served as a volunteer for many years in the St. Dismas Prison Ministry, which he held dear to his heart.Paul would like to be remembered as:“He did the best he could.” Paul is survived by his wife Marilyn; daughter Cheri (Thomas) Smithlin of Billings; daughter Mary Beth (Darron) Tolan and grandchildren Gabriella, Garrett, Emma, and Isaac of Great Falls; son Michael (Trisha) Jessen and grandchildren Iris, Trinity, and Evelyn of Minot, ND.
