Preston Burrow, 66, of Great Falls, passed away Monday, August 15, 2016 at a local hospital. A funeral liturgy will be held at noon on Friday, August 26, 2016 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Arrangements are in the care of O’Connor Funeral Home. Preston was born on July 31, 1950 to Mildred Burrow and James Burrow in Fayetteville, Arkansas. He was one of three children. His family made The South home until 1956. Preston’s father moved the family to California, where he worked for the Lockheed Corporation. The family settled in the San Fernando Valley, in the city of Chatsworth. The California lifestyle suited Preston; he loved the sunshine, mountains, and ocean. Preston spent his youth hiking and camping in the Sierra Nevada Mountains with his friends every summer. In the late 1960’s, Preston followed his passion. He completed the carpenter apprenticeship and began working in the construction industry. It didn’t take long before Preston received his California Contractor’s License and started his own business. He was part of many unique and complicated building projects to include running his own framing crew, building custom homes, working on homes for celebrities, and building clean rooms for the semiconductor industry. Preston was dedicated and proud of all the projects he was part of. He was known for his extensive knowledge and exceptional talent. Preston moved his family to Montana in 1996. He felt that Montana would be a welcomed change from the fast pace life of Los Angeles. His love for the open skies, majestic mountains drew him to this state and also gave him the opportunity to enjoy his love of horses. Preston will always be remembered by his friends and family as having a wonderful sense of humor, a huge heart, he was always a loyal friend and was a loving father to his boys and a wonderful loving husband. He’s our hero. His courage and strength has taught us to never give up, to be positive, and to have the courage to live on. He touched so many lives and put a smile on so many faces. He was an amazing man with a beautiful heart. He’d want us to always have a sense of humor, enjoy and cherish every day, to always use the gifts that God gave us. Most of all he’d want us to love one another. Preston is survived by the love of his life, his best friend and soulmate Carolle Burrow of Great Falls, MT; his sons, Travis Burrow and Elliot Burrow, whom he loved with all his heart; his daughter in law, Jenna Burrow and his grandson, Jace Burrow, whom he felt were blessings from God; also his sister Jani Ayers, whom he loved; and numerous other family who meant the world to him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mildred and James Burrow, and his brother, Charles Ronald Burrow.
