Quentin Coolidge Mocabee

Quentin C. Mocabee, 97, of Great Falls, passed away on Wednesday, September 29, 2021, peacefully at Benefis Peace Hospice very suddenly. Quentin was born on June 13, 1924, in Hardin, MT. He was the 5th son born to Rosco and Ethel (Whitlock) Mocabee. He was raised in Billings, MT. He served in the Navy during WWII from 1942 to 1945. Upon his return he me the love of his life, Evelyn L. Smith. They were married on September 14, 1946, in Billings. They spent 70 years together until her passing in 2017. They had two daughters, Glenda Kay and Helen Lavern. Quentin had a motorcycle he had to sell to buy a crib for his first baby. He has always been a Harley Davidson man. He bought a big hog in the mid 60’s. They both had many adventures and trips with close friends, Butch and Carol Cassidy and the Harley Club. Quentin never met a stranger. He was an electrical engineer at Malmstrom AFB for 23 years, until his retirement. He spent hours in his shop tinkering. There was never a task or problem that he could not create an invention to solve. He made walking canes for himself and others ‘til age caught up with him. Quentin is survived by his daughter, Helen (Rusten) Barnes of Great Falls; grandson, Wesley (Julie) Barnes also of Great Falls; great-grandkids, Iris and Ryker Barnes; and his beloved dog, Teddy. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Evelyn; daughter, Glenda Bohannon of Twin Falls, ID; four brothers, Cecil, Gaylord, Howard, and Jack. Per his wishes, no services will be held.
