Raymond Henry Dalke, 87, died May 2, 2018, at his home in Great Falls, Montana.Raymond was born July 3, 1930, in Fallon, Montana to John and Anna Dalke. He served and was honorably discharged after an eight year enlistment in the U.S. Navy on the vessels; USS Antietam and USS Cape Esperance. Raymond worked as a Letter Carrier and retired from the U.S. Postal Service. He married his wife Joan of 62 years on May 6, 1956 in Dutton, Montana. Raymond’s interests and hobbies included: gardening, hunting, fishing, spending time at the cabin, and horse racing. He and his family raised and raced horses for 33 years. While many of their horses were successful on the home track; one horse “I’ve Got A Dream” went on to win a Futurity and Derby race. Raymond is survived by his wife, Joan Dalke; daughter, Linda (Jim) Panagopoulos; son, Lonnie(Patricia) Dalke; son, Lenny(Bambi) Dalke; grandchildren Desiree(Chad) Gunlikson-Dalke; Shane Dalke; Shelby(Ike) Shaw; Riley Dalke; sisters, Lorraine Peressini; Alice(Chuck) Martin; Dolores(Bob) Standley; Shirley(Gordon) Grossman. He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Anna Dalke; brother, Reuben Dalke; sisters, Bert Jefferies and MaryAnn Beck. A viewing will be held Sunday from 3-5pm at O’Connor Funeral Home. The Graveside service will be held Monday May 7th at 1pm at Manchester Cemetery in Great Falls, Montana.
