Richard "Dick" Compa

Richard “Dick” Eugene Compa, 68, of Great Falls, passed away on Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at Peace Hospice. A funeral liturgy will be 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 12, 2017 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church. Interment will be at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus, New Jersey where his parents are also interred. Dick was born March 26, 1949 to Paul and Virginia Compa in Denver, CO. He attended St. Peter’s Preparatory in New Jersey, and then graduated from St. Michael’s College in Vermont. He also graduated from University of Graz Medical School in Austria. Dick became a long-haul truck driver and enjoyed the “open road.” He came to Great Falls to visit his brother Paul, who lived here at that time, and fell in love the big skies and fly fishing. He also wanted a better place for his beloved horse, Classic. Dick is survived by sister Mary Power and brother Paul Compa. He was preceded in death by his parents Paul and Virginia Compa and brother Gary Compa.
