Raymond “Ray” Richardson, 83, of Great Falls, passed away Thursday, February 9, 2017 of natural causes at his home. A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at O’Connor Memorial Chapel. Arrangements are in the care of O’Connor Funeral Home. Ray was born August 4, 1933 in Helena, MT to Raymond and Bessie Richardson. He graduated from Great Falls High and joined the U.S. Navy. He married Ruth Richardson in 1955 and they had seven children together. After raising their family, Ray and Ruth moved to Seattle where they lived until Ruth’s death. Ray then married Jean Gleason in 1991 and they moved back to Great Falls. Ray was a painter and wallpaper hanger for most of his life, working mostly in Montana and the Seattle area. Ray loved spending time with his family. His favorite pastime was cheering on his favorite Seattle sports teams. Ray is survived by daughters Michelle (Mike Murray) Osterman, Laura (Bret) Debolt, and Mary (Pete Espinosa) Richardson; sons Ray (Mona) Richardson and Bob (Kim) Richardson; sister Crystal Steffen and brother Neal Menghini; 18 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. Ray is preceded in death by his parents Raymond Richardson and Bessie (Victor) Menghini; wives Ruth and Jean; brother Robert; son Ron; and infant daughter Ruthie. Memorials in Ray's name may be made to donor's choice.
