He lettered in music and was the drummer for the music group Plum Puddin, which played for many state proms and dances. Rick attended University of Montana and graduated with a BA degree in Liberal Arts where he played in the University Band. This is where he met and fell in love with his future wife, Lynel Teichrow. Rick and Lyne were married August 2, 1975 and just celebrated 41 years together this summer. Rick developed diabetes at the age of 16 and fought a long hard battle with the disease. He was able to enjoy many years with family and friends because of the devoted care of his loving wife Lyne. They had one son Jason Robinson whom they adored. Rick worked for KMON as an advertising agent. This is where he met Dave Wilson and became drummer for the Dave Wilson band. He also worked as an insurance agent for Mutual Omaha. He was very passionate about music and passed on his love for drumming to his drum students. He was also a creative wood carver and received many first and second place awards for his carvings from the Montana State Fair. Anyone who received one of Rick’s wood carvings knew they received a very unique and wonderful gift to be treasured. He loved to camp and spent many hours up in Lincoln at the family cabin telling stories around the old campfire. He loved spending time with his family. Rick always had a smile on his face and a kind word for everyone. He enjoyed his Thursday men’s group at Victory Christian Center. He had a strong faith in the Lord and lived it out in his daily life. He is survived by his beloved wife Lyne, son Jason (Dawn), sisters Rhonda (Bob), Dionne (Carl), Carolyn, and brother Dee Jay (Marilyn), and many loving nieces and nephews, as well as untold friends which he considered family.
