Rita M Brewer

Rita Mae Brewer (Dobbs) 83, Of Great Falls, MT passed away December 20, 2015 of natural causes. Her memorial service will be announced at a later date. Rita was born January 1, 1932 in Malta, MT. She graduated high school in Neihart, MT. and had various jobs throughout her adult years: She waitressed at Eddies Supper Club, enjoyed being a teachers aide for Head start in Missoula, managed a hotel in Lewistown and a bar and grill in Judith Gap. She finally ended up back in Great Falls and began working in home health care. Over the years she volunteered for various organizations that focused on helping people. In her early 20s she drove stock cars, rode Harleys, and enjoyed dancing. Rita loved parties and she was known for hosting the best. She always hosted her own birthday party. When asked why she did this, she replied that it was a good way to start the New Year. She loved socializing and having barbeques, making friends wherever she went due to her charm, wit, and kind heart. . She loved playing cards with her family and friends and was known for her sense of style and always being put together. She never left the house without her lipstick on. Her greatest joy was her family; especially spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also loved her dogs, Charlie and Peaches. In her later years, she enjoyed thrifting, and shopping at yard sales. She traveled all over the city looking for great deals on her red three wheeler cart. The last few years she lived in an assisted living facility where she initiated many actives, bingo being her favorite. She also served as the president of the resident counsel. She loved the staff; with Lori being her favorite. She had no favorites of the residents as they were all loved by her. She will be greatly missed by all for she was the life of the party and put a smile on everyones face where ever she went. This lovely lady inside and out is survived by her daughter, Sandra Bearchum of Great Falls, MT; granddaughters Jarita (Derek) Wrede (Derek) of Cameron NC; Rainy Allen of Great Falls, MT; great-grandchildren Michaela and Thomas Bearchum of Spokane, WA, Connor , Asher, and Alina Wrede of Cameron, NC; and her aunt Mary Ellen VanHoozen of Great Falls, MT. Rita was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Ida Dobbs; son William Frazer; grandson Michael Bearchum; the love of her life, Hubert B. Patrick; her favorite uncle, John VanHoozen; and her sister in spirit, Bettye McDonald. Memorials/Donations can be sent to the family at 3321 4th Ave N. Great Falls, MT 59401.
