Robert “Bob” Chapman, 60, passed away peacefully Tuesday, March 21, 2017 with his family by his side. A memorial service will take place at 2:00 pm on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at Hillcrest Lawn Memorial Chapel, 1410 13th Street South. A celebration of life will follow the service. Arrangements are in the care of O’Connor Funeral Home. Bob was born in Great Falls on October 17, 1956. He grew up in Great Falls and Black Eagle where he accumulated many special friends that he stayed very close to. He graduated from C.M. Russell High School and shortly after enlisted in the U.S. Army. He was stationed in Georgia for three years. Bob was an avid collector of many things and was also a music and trivia enthusiast. He was probably the biggest Green Bay Packer fan of all time. Bob worked at Mini Mart for about 20 years. Bob’s love of people took him into the profession of caregiver. He assisted and cared for many people throughout his career. Bob loved his family, dogs, and his special girlfriend Ruth Coles. He was loved by many and will be truly missed. Bob is survived by his father John Ferda of Great Falls; brothers Tim (Wendy) Chapman of Washington and Terry (Cindy) Ferda of Great Falls; sister Cindy (Tim) Farwick of Fort Benton; his girlfriend Ruth Coles; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother Jenny Lee Ferda and special friend Mona Mills.
