Robert Anthony Gregovich

Robert Anthony Gregovich passed away peacefully at home on August 20, 2020. He was 90 years old. A memorial service for Robert will be planned at a later date. Bob was born to Genevieve and Anthony Gregovich in Great Falls on March 22, 1930. He lived in Tracy with his grandmother until he was nine years old. He attended school in Great Falls. He boxed with the CYC at the Heisey. Bob joined the U.S. Marine Corps as a teenager. When he was honorably discharged from the service, he returned to Great Falls. Thanks to the G.I. Bill, he apprenticed, learning to become a journeyman optician, and manager of American Optical's branch in Great Falls. He retired after 34 years. Bob is survived by his wife of 70 years, Gayle Wilson Gregovich; daughters, Bonita Vickery of Billings, Catherine (Stan) Williams of Colorado, Barbara Gregovich of Butte, and Karen (Dick) Schoonover of Great Falls; grandchildren, Jason Ives, Corinne Williams, Matthew Schoonover, Laura Wiegand, and Kim Fowler; six great-grandchildren; and brother, William “Bud” Gregovich. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Pam, from a previous marriage. The family requests that memorial contributions be made in Robert's memory to United Way of Cascade County, P.O.
