Robert "Bob" Hughes Sr.

Robert “Bob” Preston Hughes Sr., 75, passed away May 16, 2016 at Peace Hospice in Great Falls. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 20, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at O’Connor Memorial Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Memorial Chapel. O’Connor Funeral Home is handling arrangements. Bob was born January 26, 1941 in Greensville, South Carolina. He joined the military at the age of 18. On December 9, 1963 he was united in marriage to Darlene Ryser in North Pole, Alaska. He served two tours in Vietnam and two years in Korea. Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing, Nascar and was a lifelong Atlanta Braves fan. Bob is survived by his daughter, Tammy Jo (Chris Smith) Hughes of Driggs, ID; son Robert Hughes Jr. of Great Falls; grandchildren Quinn Patrick and Hope; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Darlene.
