Robert Lee Lindsey, 74, passed away Friday, August 9, 2013 from lung cancer at his home. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 13th, 11:00 a.m. at the OConnor Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery with military honors. Visitation will be held on Monday, August 12th, 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the OConnor Funeral Home. Bob was born March 25, 1939 in Great Falls, Mt. He received his diploma from Great Falls High School in 1957 and shortly after enlisted in the US Navy for 4 years. After serving in the US Navy, Bob joined the US Army and served his country for another 20 years domestically and in places such as Germany, Japan, and Australia, including 2 tours in Vietnam. While in the Army, Bob met Socha Choe in Seoul Korea and married on December 18, 1963. This was followed by the birth of three boys. After retirement from the Army in 1979, Bob and Socha returned to Great Falls to continue raising their family. At this time he was employed as Shift Supervisor at the Malmstrom Dining Facility and then a Department Manager at Walmart. Bob and Socha happily retired in 2005. Bob enjoyed dancing, fishing, singing, reading, and spending time with family and grandchildren. Bob is survived by sons Dan Lindsey of Sammamish, WA, Michael Lindsey of Philippines, and Richard Lindsey of Las Vegas, NV; brother, Bill Lindsey of Great Falls, MT; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.
