Robert Victor Pulst, 93, of Great Falls, passed away on Monday, May 30, 2016. He went to the Lord surrounded by family and friends at his home dying of complications from pneumonia. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Cremation is in the care of O’Connor Funeral Home. Born on January 21, 1923 in Garske, North Dakota, Robert went to school until 8th grade when he went to work on his family farm. He came to Montana in the 1950’s, first living in Havre, Rudyard and then Great Falls. Robert worked with the City of Great Falls Water Plant for 27 years. He was an active member of the Lutheran Church and Fraternal Order of Eagles. He loved flying planes. He learned to be a pilot and was the first one in his class to go up solo. He enjoyed going on family drives and spending 65 years with the love of his life, Trudy Pulst. Robert is survived by his wife, Trudy; daughter Darcy (John) Paliga; sons Donald Pulst, Charlie Pulst, Gary (Helen) Pulst and Kelley Pulst; brothers Clifford (Linda) Pulst, Wesley (Lila) Pulst, Roger (Patricia) Pulst, and Paul (Karlyn) Pulst; nineteen grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and many extended family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents William and Edna Pulst; siblings Chester, Elmer, Russell, Harold, and Helen; daughter Jody; and grandson Thomas.
