Our beloved son and brother, Robert “Mike” Wilson, 63, passed away on July 11, 2015 due to complications during surgery. A celebration of Michael’s life will be held in the summer of 2016 in Lincoln. Cremation has taken place under the direction of O’Connor Funeral Home. Mike was born in Great Falls on December 14, 1951, the first born and only son of William R. “Bill” and Barbara J. Wilson. He was a fourth generation Montanan. He attended Great Falls Public Schools and graduated from CM Russell High School in 1970. He attended college at the University of Montana in Missoula and was on the Dean’s list. He graduated, with honors, with a Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of the Arts degree in 1973. In 1975, Mike moved to Seattle to realize his dream of fashion design. He obtained a degree in Apparel Design and Services. He worked at an international ski clothing manufacturer and was employed at the Bon in Seattle as a window display designer and dresser. He was an accomplished designer and tailor. In 2000, Mike moved back to Great Falls to be closer to his family. He was employed at NEW from 2000 to 2005. In 2005, he became employed at Centene Corporation where he was employed at the time of his death. He was loyal and devoted to his family and friends. He was a well-respected employee and will be greatly missed. Mike is survived by his parents, William “Bill” R. and Barbara J. Wilson; sister Patricia J “Pattie” Johnson of Whitefish, MT; niece, Kelli M. Currier and her family Sean, Tommy, Jacob, Annika, and Rylee all of Kalispell; uncle and aunt Joe and Shelley Weinzetl and their family Steve and Kim of Moore, Ok and Lincoln, MT; special life-long friends Ken and Kathie Kuhl of Superior, MT and Diane Inman (Stephanie) of Olympia, WA. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Welcome E “Shorty” and Dorothy Wilson; and maternal grandparents George and Vera Spomer.
