Ronald "Ron" Wayne Ehnes

Ronald Wayne Ehnes, 68, of Great Falls, Montana, passed away in Watford City, North Dakota on November 20, 2022. Ron was born in Great Falls, Montana on June 18, 1954, to Lavonna Lee Norris-Ehnes and Henry "Hank" Matthew Ehnes. He attended CMR High School in Great Falls (Class of 1972) and the University of Montana (Class of 1974).

Ron worked in North Dakota on a nuclear missile site in his younger years. He then showed an interest in marketing and sales with multiple jobs, eventually becoming the co-owner of his business, the popular Hi Ho Tavern. After selling the business, he enjoyed semi-retirement working seasonally at the Anaconda Hills Golf Course in Great Falls.

Ron is survived by his spouse, Mary Ehnes (Tyler) and her daughter, Mariah Tyler. Daughters from previous marriage with the late Robin Ehnes (Balek), Alicia (Greg) Minow and children, Max, Landon, and Savannah; Autumn (Matthew) Bargstadt and children, Brooke, Kylie, and Ava; Amy (Eric) Habersberger; and son, Hunter. Brothers, Tony Ehnes and Gary (Suzie) Ehnes. Many nieces and nephews as well as his loving dog, Maggie.

Ron was preceded in death by parents Lavonna and Hank Ehnes, and sister Cindy Ehnes.

Please join us in honoring Ron at his "Celebration of Life" which will be held at the Black Eagle Community Center on December 30, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. Condolence messages may be left on the websites of O'Connor or Schnider Funeral Homes. Flowers or memorial items may be sent to Black Eagle Community Center the day of the gathering.

For those who have become closest to Ron, know that he had the biggest heart. Ron was “larger than life” and was loved by many. He will be greatly missed!
