Rose Marcella Bruno, 90, of Great Falls, loving wife and mother, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 26, 2017. Visitation will be 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 1, 2017 at O’Connor Funeral Home. A funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. on Monday, October 2, 2017 at O’Connor Memorial Chapel, followed by interment at Mount Olivet Cemetery. Rose was born in Hebron, North Dakota on December 8, 1926 to Jacob and Elizabeth (Thomas) Heffner. Rose was originally married to Marvin Wahl for 23 years and together they had eight children. On September 9, 1967, she married Herman “Bud” Bruno and they recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. Rose started as a waitress at Eddie’s Club in 1952 and also worked at the Great Falls Country Club. Upon retirement she was active with Opportunity, Inc., delivering commodities to shut-ins. Rose loved rummage sales, flea markets, gun shows, and buying and selling costume jewelry and other wares. Rose is survived by her loving husband, Herman “Bud” Bruno; children Jane, Terry, Ted, Tim, and Tag; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and daughters Joyce, Judy, and JoAnn.
