Rose Mary Offerdahl

Rose Mary Offerdahl, 92, of Great Falls, passed away on Sunday, March 26, 2023.

A visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 1, 2023. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, April 3, 2023, at O’Connor Memorial Chapel with burial to follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery.

Rose was born on November 17, 1930, in Larson, North Dakota to Peter and Catherine (Leuthard) Mader. She had eight sisters, Grace, Emma, Edna, Kathryn, Marie, Margaret, Lillian, and Myrtle; and five brothers, Richard, Patrick, Edward, Leo, and Merton. She went to Great Falls High School before she met and married a handsome lad, Bill Offerdahl and together they had three daughters, Debra, Diana, and Donita.

She had various jobs, phone operator, hairdresser, and bar maid before becoming a homemaker and taking care of her family. She was part of the Epsilon Sigma Alpha Sorority. She enjoyed bowling, bingo, birthday club, and lunch with the nieces. Rose was always taking pictures of her family and printing them out for “bragging rights” at bingo and bowling. She was proud of her family and loved each and everyone dearly. She will be missed.

Rose is survived by her daughters, Diana (Bob) McGill of Altus, Oklahoma and Donita (Ted) Fultz of Fort Benton; six grandchildren, Jason (Denise), Joshua (Tiffanie), Eddie (Rheanna), Ernie (Jenna), Jamie (Greg), and Jessica (Craig); eleven great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill; daughter, Debra; parents, Peter and Catherine; and all of her siblings except for Myrtle.
