Ruth Louise Horan

Ruth L. (Frank) Horan, 94, of Great Falls, passed away at Highgate Senior Living, surrounded by family early Saturday morning, December 15, 2018. Arrangements have been made with O’Connor Funeral Home. The funeral will take place graveside at Mount Olivet Cemetery on December 21, 2018 at 2:00 P.M.A reception will follow at Schnider Funeral Home Hospitality Room. Ruth was born February 3, 1924 in Calvert, Montana where she was raised on the family ranch. She attended the Fleming School. In 1942, Ruth married the love of her life, Don Horan on May 30th. Ruth and Don celebrated 74 years of marriage in 2016. Don passed away later that year. For over forty years, Ruth owned and operated a licensed home daycare. She was loved and remembered fondly by many of those children and parents over the years. Ruth enjoyed cooking for friends and family, children, weekends at the family farm, attending to her beautiful rose garden and yard, but most of all she loved spending time with her family. They really meant everything to her. Ruth is survived by her son Tim D. Horan (Jan); daughters Donna Tuskind and Kathie Heusel (Rick); Sister-in-law Patricia Harris; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and those considered as family, Ron Hilbig (Kathleen); and Jill Kenyon. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband; daughter Michelle Horan; a great-granddaughter; four brothers; one sister and recently her son-in-law Ron Tuskind.
