Ruth "Eileen" Norris

Ruth “Eileen” Norris, 87 of Great Falls, passed away on January 30, 2016 at Peace Hospice of natural causes. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the Solid Rock Bible Church, located at 751 4th Ave NW. Burial of ashes will follow at the Manchester Cemetery. O’Connor Funeral Home is handling arrangements. Eileen was born to George and Gertie Hensley on May 23, 1928 and was raised in Great falls. She received her diploma from Great Falls High School. She married James T. Norris, Jr. on February 7, 1948 and together they had eight children. For many years she was a waitress and later retired from the Buttery/Albertson’s Deli. After retirement she worked the summer months at Indian Trails Lodge and became a camp host at Holter Lake. She was also a member of the Solid Rock Bible Church. Eileen enjoyed crocheting and made many blankets for her family and loved to fish with her husband, Jim. She also loved being with her family and grandchildren. Eileen is survived by her daughters, Kareen (Bob) Lay of Las Vegas, NV, Sandee (Gary Suek) McAllister of Fort Benton, Lana (Roger Winterrowd) Norris of Great Falls, and Linda (Clarence) Swartz of Augusta; sons Jay (Janet) Norris of Phoenix, AZ, Kirk (Peggy) Norris and Jack (Chris) Norris both of Great Falls; 23 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sister-in law Arlene Sanders of Cottonwood, AZ; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jim; infant daughter Denise; parents; grandsons Kirk Jr. and Wesley Lay; sisters Mae, Marie, Georgie, Loretta, Ruby, Doris, and Maxine; brothers Raymond and Donald, and sister-in-law Dolores. We love you very much and will miss this great lady!
