Sandra A Conover

November 16, 1940 — March 2, 2016

Sandra Ann (Broadbent) Conover peacefully passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at Hospice of Dayton, Ohio. Sandy was born November 16, 1940 in Livingston, Montana, the second child of Catherine and Archie Broadbent. She has an older sister, Beverly, and two younger brothers, Clark and Tully. Sandy was a shy yet spunky young girl with a streak of tomboy in her, a love for her family, and a passion for learning. She attended school in Livingston Montana, and graduated from Park High School. She then went to Western Montana College in Dillon where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. Sandy then married and had her only child, a girl named Traci Lynn. From the time Traci was two years old, Sandy was a single mom who devoted her entire life to being a wonderful and selfless mom and an elementary school teacher. Sandy taught for many years at Sacajawea Elementary School and North Middle School in Great Falls. She retired from the profession she loved in 2004. She enjoyed being retired and liked to read mystery books, play Scrabble, work crossword puzzles, and have leisurely lunches with her close friends. Her favorite thing in the world though, was to spend time spoiling her grandchildren, Austin and Jacie. In 2013, Sandy moved from her home in Montana to be closer to her daughter and grandchildren in Ohio. She cherished her time with them but always missed her beautiful Montana mountains. As she grew sicker and wearier, Sandy yearned to “go home”, but she requested that we do not cry. Instead, she wanted us to celebrate her victory over sickness and weariness. In the last few days of her life, Sandy had placed complete faith in God and was looking forward to being in Heaven, reunited with her parents. Sandra is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Traci and James Womack; granddaughter Jacie Womack of Bellbrook, OH; grandson Austin Womack of Cincinnati, OH; siblings Beverly Corder and Clark Broadbent of Helena, MT, and Tully Broadbent of Kalispell, MT. She is preceded in death by her mother and father, Catherine and Archie Broadbent.
