Sheree Cay Dansereau, 58, of Fort Benton, a life-long professional singer/songwriter/musician who traveled the continent and excelled at her trade, passed away Saturday, May 11, 2013 at a local hospital due to complications after brain tumor surgery. Sheree was deeply loved and cherished by a multitude of people in her life. She was a lifelong and very respected musician, singer keyboard player and copyrighted songwriter. Her voice was astonishing and moved many souls throughout her whole life. Her voice was first discovered by our mom (Dana) when Sheree was 2! As a musical icon, Sheree loved music, the arts, love energy and all things beautiful. Sheree was all about love, a spiritual being and generous beyond belief. Sheree sought and brought joy and laughter, always aiming for tranquility and harmony for all. She was generous with her love, effortlessly exuding her pure heart and honest spirit in everything she did. Sher could never be forgotten, and she will be sadly missed by all of us who were blessed to know her. Sheree is survived by her mother, Dana Ranes; father Jerry Dansereau, step-fathers Melvin Ranes and Dale Nelson; step-mothers Josie Dansereau and Candace Rising Sun; son Jeremy Ritter; sisters Carol Dansereau and Christy Nelson; and brothers Joe Dansereau and David Nelson; many nieces and nephews and grand-neices and nephews; many step and foster brothers and sisters and extended family throughout her life. You all know who you are! She was preceded in death by brothers Casey and Jer Dansereau; and ex-husband Dan Ritter. God has brought another angel into his kingdom choir and our dearest Sherees pain is gone, Her soul is set free. She has risen to the heavens and now sings for the universe. She has joined her brothers and flies on new wings. We will love and cherish you forever, Sher! Your memory will live on in our hearts until the day we meet again. Rest in peace, our sweet angel Sheree.
