Shirley May (Walt) Baune, of Black Eagle, Montana sadly passed away on Friday, January 13, 2023, at the age of 85.
She was born to the late John and Margaret Walt. Shirley graduated from Simms High School. She married Bernard Baune from Sun River, Montana on November 5, 1956. Bernard and Shirley were married 66 fun filled years of softball, camping, golfing, motorcycling, and motor-homing. They built their own home in Black Eagle and raised their three children there. She was a wonderful mother, and grandma and always had candy ready for the taking; if you knew where to look and had the title of grandchild by your name.
She is survived by her husband, Bernard Baune; three children, Mark (Denice) Baune of Great Falls, Theresa (Brian) Kolar of Worden, and Ken (Wendi) Baune of Great Falls; brother, Charles (Faye) Walt from Arizona; sister-in-law, Marie Konesky of Great Falls; seven grandchildren, Jennell (Ken) Huff, Heather (Ray) Michaels, Shawn Baune, David (Jessica) Lundby, Kevin (Michelle) Lundby, Chase (Kelsey) Baune, and Austin (Michelle) Baune; nine great-grandchildren; four nieces and five nephews; as well as many dear friends.
A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 27, 2023, at Hillcrest Lawn Memorial Chapel.
Please make donations to support Maclean-Cameron Animal Adoption Center in lieu of flowers, as that is where she adopted her buddy, Shadow.
