Solveig Johanna (Hundseid) Finneman was born to Sigrid and Johannas Hundseid Dec. 28, 1932, on Hundseid Farm in Videdal Norway. She had 10 siblings. She attended and graduated from nursing school and then emigrated to the US in 1957. She settled in Great Falls, Montana, where some of her brothers were living as well as some of her friends from Norway. Solveig married Lester Finneman July 18, 1959. They were blessed with two children, Glen and Sonja. She enjoyed attending her children's school events and camping at Seeley Lake for a week every summer. She was a long-standing member of the Sons of Norway and went to many enjoyable activities at the Lodson Lodge with her family. She also helped serve at meals and sold Vikings at the State Fair. Some other activities she enjoyed were playing cards with friends, attending church events and she served on the board of the West of 60's church group at the Central Assembly of God where she and Lester were members. Solveig was quite the hostess; she set a beautiful table and prepared delicious meals. Everyone was entertained by Lester and Sonja's music and lots of lively conversation and laughter. She loved nursing and faithfully served others for 30-plus years at the Deaconess Hospital. Often she would come home with gifts of appreciation from some of her former patients for a job well-done. Following retirement she and Lester enjoyed yearly trips on various cruises and traveled all over the world. She moved to Eagles Manor in 2006 and currently resided there at the time of her death, March 18, 2018. She lived to be 85 years old. We love you and will miss you dearly. Solveig is survived by her brothers, Jens (Betty), Harald (Torlaug), Sofus (Lilly), Eli of Norway; sisters-in-law, Amanda Finneman and Elsa Hundseid; children, Glen (Lark) Finneman and Sonja Rohan; grandchildren, Jonathan, Heidi, Jacob, Olivia, and Grace Rohan; and great-grandson, Hezekiah Ivanov. Solveig was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Finneman; brothers, Valentine, Magna, Fartein, and Torger Hundseid; sisters, Anna Hundseid and Ingrid Hviding; and son-in-law, David Rohan. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 17, at Hillcrest Lawn Chapel.
