Terrance H. “Terry” Guckeen, 74, of Black Eagle, passed away on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at his home. A Celebration of Terry’s Life will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, March 9, 2018 at the Do Bar. Terry was born March 31, 1943 in Beach, ND to Harold and Helen Guckeen and was the oldest of seven children. After graduating from Billings Central High School, he trained to be a radio announcer in South Dakota. He returned to Montana to study Cosmetology and started his successful business. Terry moved to Black Eagle where he spent the rest of his life.He married, had five sons and later divorced. Sorrow shadowed his life when his first born son drowned at a young age.Years later, he lost another son suddenly. Terry was full of ideas, creativity and talents.His self-taught talents included playing the guitar, sewing, gardening, carpentry and raising peacocks.He always had a story or joke to tell and his quick-witted sense of humor brought smiles to many faces.There was never a dull moment when you were with Terry. Terry is survived by his significant other Jacquie; sons Darin, Bryan (Nikki) and Brandon (Kristen); granddaughters Kaycee, Brynn, Savanah and Alex; grandsons Seth and Brody; brothers Vaughn (Diane) and Michael (Chalea); sisters Carol, Marsha (Les) and Patti (Brian); and many nieces and nephews. Terry was preceded in death by his parents; sons Michael and Blaine; and his brother Robert. We are grateful for his presence in our lives and he will be forever missed.
