Theresa "Resi" Burgmaier Klein

Theresa “Resi” Burgmaier Klein, 101, of Great Falls, passed away Monday, July 2, 2018. Visitation will be held at O’Connor Memorial Chapel on Friday, July 6, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.The funeral liturgy will follow the visitation at 1:00 p.m. at O’Connor Memorial Chapel. Burial will be held at Highland Cemetery. O’Connor Funeral Home is handling arrangements. Resi was born to Franz and Theresa Burgmaier in Germany on October 15, 1916. In April 1953 she immigrated to the US and was welcomed by relatives in Power, MT and then found work in Great Falls as a nanny and housekeeper. In 1955 she went to California and worked as a housekeeper and nanny for a large family until she met John Klein and married him in 1963. They lived in Eagle Rock, California until John’s death in 1985. She loved her garden behind the house and lived there until she moved back to Great Falls to live with her sister and brother-in-law, Hedy and John Jankens. When they passed away in 2013, she resided at Cambridge Place and then at Goldstone Assisted Living. Theresa is the last survivor of nine brothers and sisters. Two sisters also came to the Great Falls area, Hilda Burgmaier Binsfield and Hedy Jankens. She is survived by a nephew John (Yolande) Jankens and a niece Linda (Scott) Urquhart, and numerous cousins. Theresa was a devout member of Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church and was involved with many church activities. Her strongest attribute was serving others.
