Theresia (Hartl) Clark, 76, of Great falls passed away peacefully on Monday, May 30, 2016. A vigil service will be held on Friday, June 3, 2016 at 6 p.m. at O’Connor Memorial Chapel, 2425 8th Ave North. Funeral liturgy will take place on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 410 22nd Ave NE. O’Connor Funeral home is handling arrangements. Theresia was born on June 2, 1939 in Gaukönigshofen, Germany. She graduated from high school in her hometown. Theresia met Carl Clark while he was in the U.S. Air Force and stationed in Giebelstadt, Germany. They were married for 56 years and had three children. Theresia worked for 22 years as a retail sales associate with Herberger’s and 12 years as a small business owner and operator of Theresia’s Cakes. She was known for her amazingly beautiful and delicious wedding cakes. Besides working and being a homemaker, she volunteered as a Cub Scout Leader and Den Mother with the Boy Scouts of America, and served as a volunteer for the “Camp Collie” rescue in 2003. She was also an active member of St. Luke’s Catholic Church and Corpus Christi Catholic Parish. Theresia loved to travel; was an avid animal lover, an expert seamstress, a wonderful gardener, and a great square-dancer who also coordinated and translated for the Kassel Kastoffs Square Dancing Club. She also loved being a member of the Red Hat Society. Theresia is survived by her husband Carl of Great Falls MT; daughters Brigitte of Westminster, CO, and Susan of Tel Aviv, Israel; son Don of Springerville, AZ; sister Rita Lewis of Great Falls; brothers Adolf, Franz, Günter, Heinz, and Werner Hartl, all of the Würzburg area in Germany; and one grandchild, Zachary Grimm of Westminster, CO. She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers. Memorials/donations in Theresia’s name may be given to Peace Hospice of Montana, P.O. Box 7008, Great Falls, MT 59406-7008.
