Thomas C Barr

Thomas C. Barr, 80, of Great Falls, passed away Thursday, July 23, 2015. A private family service will be held at a later date. O’Connor Funeral Home has handled the arrangements. Tom was born October 24, 1934 at Clark AFB in Manila, Philippines. He graduated from the military high school in Paris, France and then went on to graduate from Texas AM with a mechanical engineering degree. Upon graduation he entered the Air Force and was stationed in Mississippi, California, Great Falls and Nebraska. Upon retirement they chose to live again here in Great Falls. Tom enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, volunteering with the fire department and local water board among other things. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Gladys; daughters Denise Penn, Leslie Ginder, and Theresa Rothweiler; 5 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren. His parents John and Jane Barr preceded him in death. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Fort Shaw Historical Society, as Tom loved anything to do with military history.
