Thomas Gene Crane, 74, of Great Falls, passed away on August 16, 2021, in his home, surrounded by his loving family. Tom was born in Lawton, Oklahoma to Carl and Blanche Crane. He grew up with his brother, Carl, and his sisters, Caryol, Barbara, and Charolette. He attended Colorado State University where he received a bachelor’s degree in Biology and was an officer in the U.S. Army. He retired after many years as president of Local 8 of the UFCW. He married Rosalie Crane in his 20s with whom he had his son, Thomas, and acquired two wonderful daughters, Elizabeth and Christine. He later met his second wife, Sarah, and acquired two stepchildren, Andrew and Anne. Tom was a kind, dependable, and loving father to each and every one of them. He was also a grandfather to two grandchildren whom he adored, Ryan and Olivia Neece. Tom loved the outdoors and was a dedicated and passionate advocate for conservation. He loved fly fishing, kayaking, traveling, and camping. He was also a skilled woodworker.The Missouri River Breaks and Kintla Lake in Glacier Park were especially dear to his heart. Tom is survived by his wife, Sarah; children, Elizabeth, Christine, Thomas, Andrew, and Anne; brother, Carl; and sisters, Caryol, Barbara, and Charolette.He was preceded in death by his parents.
