Thomas "Tom" Warner Worsley

Thomas “Tom” Worsley passed away at home in Great Falls on Thursday, January 14, 2021. Cremation has taken place and services will be held on a later date. O’Connor Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements. Tom was born in Bellingham, WA to Carl and Hazel (Baker) Worsley on May 20, 1933. After his mother passed away, Tom and his dad traveled about. He learned a lot on these travels. He also went to many different schools. Tom served his country in the Pacific Islands and Kwajaline in the Korean War from 1951 to 1953. He ran transport boats from island to island. After his service, he went to work for Great Northern Building and Bridge. Then on to elevator management (grain buying) for 35 years with many companies. He was with GTA-Harvest States the last 25 years before his retirement in 1995, when he moved to Great Falls, and lived here until his death. He married Patsy Nelson on July 11, 1953, in White Sulphur Springs by a Justice of the Peace. They got their marriage blessed at St. Mary Margaret in 1959. Tom did carpentry for 8 years after retiring. He loved working with leather. He did a lot of things to keep busy. Cabinet making, wood working, gardening, fishing, and taking care of his chickens. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his bride of 67 years, Patsy Worsley of Great Falls; 3 children, Tom (Susan) Worsley, Jean (Vance) Butler, and Cecil Worsley; 4 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren. Jaxson was his telephone buddy. Memorials in Tom’s name may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
