Vicki Lynn Spindler, 51, of Great Falls, passed away peacefully and surrounded by family on September 11, 2018. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 14, 2018 at the O’Connor Funeral Home. A simple reception will follow. Vicki was born in Miles City in 1967 to Tom and Dorothy, much to her big sister Pattie’s dismay. The family moved to Great Falls in 1972. She was very competitive and loved playing sports throughout school. She graduated from Great Falls High School in 1984. Vicki was very hard-working and was employed in the bakery and deli business for nearly 25 years. In 1986, she had her first daughter Jessica with Bart Spindler. They later married in 1989 and their second daughter Kristina was welcomed shortly after. Their son, Nathan, was born in 1991. They were later divorced but always remained special to each other. She was a loving mother,’Gammie’, daughter, sister, ‘Aunt Mickey’, cousin and friend. Her happiest times were those spent with family. She enjoyed playing cards and winning money from any family member she could. She was an avid Vikings fan and spent most Sundays watching football. Vicki was kind hearted and had the best sense of humor, always trying to make someone laugh. She was a kind and generous woman, but above all, she loved and was very proud of her kids. Vicki is survived by her mother, Dorothy (Robert) Halcro; her father, Thomas (Laraine) Smith; daughters Jessica (Travis) Prather and Kristina Spindler; son Nathan Spindler; sister Pattie Smith; nephew Dustin (Alexis) Haffner; aunt Roberta Johansen; four grandchildren, and numerous cousins, great nieces and nephews. Her grandparents Jess and Louise Diaz, grandparents Ray and Cecile Smith; Bart Spindler and cousin Jay Johansen preceded Vicki in death.Vicki was so special and will live on in our hearts and memories forever.
