Viola Jannette Bourdeau, 86, of Belt, passed away in Great Falls on May 24, 2020. No services are planned at this time. Cremation has taken place at O’Connor Funeral Home. Jan was born in Shelby on March 30, 1934, to Edward and Claudia (Martin) Gagner. She grew up in Shelby and later moved to Great Falls. She and her husband, Jim, made Belt their home some 21 years ago. Jan was an avid horsewoman and was a member of the Great Falls Saddle Club. She rode in O-Mok-Sees and played western polo. She made lifelong friends during those activities and truly enjoyed talking with folks over coffee at the kitchen table. She enjoyed hunting, camping, trail-riding, and genealogy. She is survived by Kris (Ronnie) Condos of Hereford, Arizona, Mark (Linda) Bourdeau of Belt, Denis (Ilene) Bourdeau of Denver, Colorado, Dave (Sandi) Bourdeau of Great Falls, Bruce Bourdeau of Missoula; six grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. Jan was preceded in death by her husband, James; son, William Bourdeau; and granddaughter, Chelsea Condos.
