Viola Ward

Viola Lucille Ward, 99, passed away on Thursday, July 24, 2014 of natural causes at the Bee Hive senior living home. Cremation has taken place under the direction of O’Connor Funeral Home. Viola was born May 19, 1915 in Marysville, WA to John and Lucy Taylor; she was the oldest of three children. Viola lived in Seattle, WA most of her life and moved to Great Falls, MT in 2001. Viola was a beautician and worked in Seattle when she was in her twenties. She was accomplished in many different crafts; she made hats, fur coats, painted, sewed and made beaded evening gowns to wear to the Tuxedo club dances each month. She loved to play golf and bridge and played twice a week plus golf tournaments. She traveled around the world several times. She had a very full life. Viola is survived by her only daughter Sharon Shipek.
